Folding phones finally feel like real daily drivers instead of novelty devices, change my mind

Switched to a foldable 6 months ago after being skeptical for years. The crease is basically a non-issue after a week of use, battery life finally matches flagship slabs, and having a tablet-sized screen in my pocket for reading/docs has genuinely changed how I use my phone. Still think they're a gimmick or has anyone else converted?

the durability concern is still real for me, my coworker's hinge started making noise after 8 months and repair cost was insane

converted here too, the multitasking on the big inner screen for work stuff is a genuine productivity upgrade not just a gimmick anymore

yeah split screen email + notes while on a call is clutch

price is still the dealbreaker for most people, until these come down closer to flagship pricing its a niche enthusiast product

i dropped mine once and the inner screen is way more fragile than id like, regular slabs still win on pure durability

the crease genuinely bothers me every single time i look at it straight on, maybe im just more sensitive to it than others

battery life claim matching flagships hasnt been my experience at all, mine drains noticeably faster running two screens worth of pixels

depends on the model a lot honestly, some manage it better than others

as an ereader replacement alone its worth it for me, reading on the unfolded screen beats my kindle for pdfs specifically
